Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Box

  • Indulge in one of the best things about life in Alaska, Sockeye Salmon. These vibrant red-fleshed fish conjure the feeling of the Alaskan summer any time of year. Developing their distinctive rich flavor during their life spent swimming wild in the sea, they return to spawn in the rivers where they were hatched. This predictable cycle allows us the privilege of harvesting them sustainably.  Sockeye Salmon are also known as Red Salmon, due to their firm red flesh, which is retained during cooking. Perfect for grilling, broiling, sautéing, roasting, poaching, steaming and smoking. And bringing the flavor of the Alaskan summer home.

AK Marine - Catch of the Season

    Callahan Fish Co

  • Your salmon is caught by hardworking, small-scale fishermen in a sustainably-managed fishery. The fishermen who catch your salmon are life-long Alaskans whose livelihood depends on a resilient marine ecosystem and healthy fish stocks for a lasting future for themselves and their children.

Your fishermen live at sea all summer, gillnetting for salmon in Western Alaska, in the Area M fishery. They are surrounded by the Aleutian Islands' smoking volcanoes, Brown Bears on the beach, and a diversity of marine species like Grey Whales and Tufted Puffins. Growing up, our family was part of the Area M gillnet fishery, and are still close friends with the fishermen who catch the salmon that's delivered to your doorstep and your plate. The salmon in your Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Box is caught with our fleet's expert hands, delivered to King Cove, and processed by Peter Pan Seafoods.
