Covid-19 Updates

We ask for your understanding and patience as we prioritize protecting our team and customers in this uncertain time. We are making necessary adjustments to our work and operations; our team is working remotely, which may result in delayed orders and customer-service requests. We have cancelled all summer and fall events and celebrations until further notice, and plan to reschedule what we can in 2021. We have permanently closed our Juneau and Seward locations, and hope to open our Homer flagship in 2021 if it is safe to operate.

Our Covid-19 plan is posted on the door of our store in Homer, AK, which is currently closed to the public. If local customers would like to arrange a curbside pick up, they can email customerservice@aksalmonsisters.com and our customer care team will work with you directly.

Our staff is following guidelines outlined in the State of Alaska Health Mandate, performing routine environmental cleaning at our fulfillment centers in Homer, Alaska and Ferndale, Washington, and taking care to keep themselves and the community around them healthy and safe. Sick employees have been requested to stay home.

We are confident in our team’s ability to maintain quality service and products and while we take care to avoid any interruptions, we also realize that charge can come quickly and that it may continue in the months ahead. During this national emergency, we are committed to keeping you informed of any changes to operations, and we encourage you to visit us online to get the latest updates.

Please note that any refunds for items purchased from Salmon Sisters will be processed as normal by our customer care team, though many financial institutions are reporting significant delays of 5-7 days to issue reimbursements to credit cards. We can provide an authorization key to track your refund - just contact customerservice@aksalmonsisters.com.

We urge our community to join us in taking the extra precautions necessary to safeguard your health and the health of those around you. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and your local health authorities are the best resources for updates and answers to your questions.

We are grateful to be part of a strong and connected community, and we are here to help you navigate through this challenging time.

In the meantime, we are still shipping out boxes of nutrient-rich wild fish directly to your door and our webshop is full of gear for getting outside this summer. You can buy a copy of our new cookbook The Salmon Sisters: Fishing, Feasting and Living in Alaska for easy and nutritious recipes for your family; it also makes a great gift to send to the loved ones who love cooking!

Thank you for your continued support and please stay well,

Sincerely,
Claire and Emma | Salmon Sisters
