Attend a community town hall meeting to gather your ideas and opinions about local food and food systems issues from local community members!
The purpose of these meetings is to increase awareness of Alaska food issues, promote involvement in local food issues by community members, and gain a perspective of local food issues to inform AFPC and policy makers.

Presenters will describe types and characteristics of lines, cleats, materials, nets and tools.
Feb. 25 MARINE ELECTRONICS– South Central Radar
Topics include use of radar, autopilots, depth sounders and navigation gear.
March 3 BOAT CONSTRUCTION MATEIRALS – D&D, Bay Welding Presenters will discuss how steel and aluminum boats are built.
March 8 BOAT CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS – Sloth Boatworks Learn how wood and composite boats are built.
March 25 MARINE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS – Desperate Marine
Will introduce basic hydraulic and pump refrigerator systems.
April 1 WHAT MAKES A BOAT GO? – In Demand Marine
Electrical, propulsion, gear box systems as well as maintenance and repair requirements will be described.
