We are thrilled to introduce you to the new Salmon Sisters x Youer collection! When we learned about Youer's colorful and functional designs for women and commitment to sustainable production in the USA, we knew our community would want to climb aboard. We partnered up with Youer founder Mallory Ottariano and her team to create a small capsule of comfortable, flattering, do-everything duds that will take you from trail to town in style. We loved working with another female-owned company that values community and sustainability as much as we do at Salmon Sisters, and are so proud to introduce the Salmon Sisters x Youer Blueberry Dress, Seaworthy Dress, and Seaworthy Summer Leggings this season (Seaworthy Winter Leggings coming soon too!).
Youer is headquartered in Missoula, Montana and uses fabrics made from recycled (and often plastic-free) alternatives. Our original Salmon Sisters patterns are printed on-demand to minimize waste and the fabrics used for our collection are made in the USA using a tight supply chain that includes California and Oregon production. To print our designs on the fabric, Youer uses sublimation, which takes place in California, steps from the factory in which the garments are sewn.
The Blueberry and Seaworthy Dresses are constructed with Youer custom 'Pillow Line' fleece - a 190 gsm, 100% recycled poly grid fleece with side panels and cuffs made from a 85%/15% recycled poly/spandex blend featuring Salmon Sisters artwork. Featuring a big kangaroo pocket to keep your hands warm, thumbholes (because who doesn't love them) and a cozy hood to keep the breeze off of your neck. The Blueberry Dress will be exclusive to Salmon Sisters, and the Seaworthy Dress will be available through Salmon Sisters and Youer.
The Seaworthy Summer Leggings are made from 83% recycled poly/17% spandex. With a high-rise waist, sitting at the perfect part of your hips, deep phone-sized pockets, and a gusset down the inner thigh to prevent chaffing, these bottoms are ready for anything. They'll be your go-to action leggings this summer, from town to trails. The Seaworthy Leggings are available through Salmon Sisters and Youer.
In Youer founder Mallory's words, her company is about celebrating womens' unique personalities through colors and design.
"Youer is about supporting causes you care about and voting for women with your dollars. It's about celebrating all the different ways we get after it, and the every day adventure. Because, life isn't all about summits and traverses - it's about all the things we do every day - kicking butt at work, raising a family, trying a new recipe for dinner, fixing a flat, getting an extra hour of sleep, and LIVING."
We love it, and we can't wait to see you all out and about wearing the collection. Learn more about Youer on their website and Instagram. Thank you for supporting small businesses working together to make fun and functional clothing.
