Thriving in Winter: Part 1 | Winter Bird Garlands & Seafood Charcuterie Board

Thriving in Winter is a six part blog series featuring seasonal traditions and recipes from The Salmon Sisters: Harvest & Heritage to inspire the darkest days of the year.

We're kicking our Thriving in Winter blog series off with two staples of a bright holiday season – making Winter Bird Garlands and a loose "recipe" for a Seafood Charcuterie Board for easy entertaining. We walked up the hill behind Claire's house a couple weeks ago and picked red rosehips to string into garlands, and though they were intended for the birds, they're just so pretty and festive that they're still inside hanging above our kitchen table! We love the feeling of having a festive home, and having all the ingredients on hand to pull together a beautiful board of tinned fish, smoked salmon, tasty pickles and olives and cheeses for whenever guests are around your table or you're headed to a gathering. Why not bring out the finest this time of year?
