About the Author: One night, Ocean Rutherford was walking along this Prince Rupert dock, when the captain of the Tequila asked if she knew any deckhands for the upcoming tuna season. Ocean volunteered herself for the job and after a few seasons, now works on the yellow tugboats in the background. The story Ocean's Captain was inspired by the journey. About the Illustrator: Oceana Wills was born and raised in Homer, Alaska, next to the water. She works as a deckhand in Bristol Bay during the summers fishing for sockeye salmon. She paints and makes art during the rest of the year and travels as much as possible. Find out more at: www.oceanawills.com
