Barista - Mug Up

• Employment dates: August 1st - September 10th
  • must be able to start the first full week of August or earlier 
• We prefer candidates with barista experience.
• You must be based in the Homer area with a reliable vehicle & housing.
• Requires a food handlers' certification, completed before the first day of work
• Our Mug Up Coffee Shop is located within our Fish Shop at the end of the Homer spit.
• This job would include the following daily tasks:
  • making dozens of drinks & preparing foods (in a timely matter)
  • keeping the shop, supplies, and inventory well organized & clean
  • knowing product details and how to operate the POS (point of sale)
  • receiving and preparing products for sale
  • kindly assisting customers with questions & concerns
  • sharing information and stories about Alaska, the fishing industry, & Homer with customers

Compensation: $17.00 USD per hour plus tips. Normal hours may fluctuate based on the time of season and will vary between 20 - 40 hours per week.  Mileage reimbursement for work-related driving.
